Bhilwara in Rajasthan was founded 300-400 years ago, but due to the confrontation between the rulers, Bhilwara was destroyed many times. It finally flourished in the 18th century. Bhilwara is now the trading city. Known as the Land of Courage and Sacrifice, Bhilwara is a trading center of Mewar Acchal.
Important places to visit
Mejha Dam
It is a water reservoir for the Bhilwara Resorts with a capacity of 30 feet. A retirement home in the irrigation department with swimming pool and swings for children makes it a place for picnics and parties during the rainy season. This is the largest dam in the whole city.
Harni Mahadev
A shivling is located under a large stone near the waterfall under the green mountains that are a pilgrim for the residents of Bhilwara. At the top of the hill is the Chamunda Mata Temple from which you can see the whole city.
Menal
It is believed that Menal is the religious site. There is a waterfall that falls with great force into the V-shaped valley from a height of 150 feet and can be heard from a great distance during the rainy season. The Mahanaleshwar Temple, built by the Chauhan rulers, has a huge statue of Lord Shiva, the ceiling of which is embossed with ancient quotes.
Joganiya Mata
The Joganiya Mata Temple is located in the middle of the dense forest from the 8th century. People are scared to visit this place. Dacoits and drunkards began making animal sacrifices, which has become a custom. Due to the efforts of Jain Sadhvi, Mewar Sihni Yaskanwarji, animal sacrifices and drinking were stopped. Later this place was also made available for development with dharamshalas, shops, water and electricity.
Triveni
The place where three rivers meet, Menali, Bardi and Badach, is called Triveni Chauraha. During the rainy season, the temple of Lord Shiva is flooded with water. People from different places come to bathe in this holy water during the months of Amawas, Poornima, Kartik and Magh.
Mangalgarh Fort
This fortress is approximately 1,850 feet above sea level and 1 km long. This fortress is of course protected by various temples of gods and goddesses.
Bijolian
The farmers fought for their rites against the landowners, also supported by Gandhiji, and after 10 years the farmers got their rights. Bijolian was known for this Kissan train.
Shahpura
This place is famous for painters who have won numerous national awards. Here you will find paintings that are 700 years old. This was the main center of the International Ramsnehi Sampraday and also the place that the Barhat family belonged to, which contributed to our struggle for freedom.
